To all the folks out there who have lost a child, my heart goes out to you all. To all the family and friends who support us during the hardest time of our lives with visits, texts, calls, meals, prayers and love- I thank you from my broken heart and soul. I had never heard of Trisomy 18 before. If you have received the diagnosis or lost your child, my prayers go out to you. We never gave up on our angel boy. Love and hope are powerful forces. Despite the condition, our boy was/is a fighter. Our precious boy was with us for 17 days. But we believe he will be with us forever and that we will all be together again. We released butterflies at his service. The night we lost him and the day of his service were the hardest days of our lives. As parents. As a family. We are not supposed to lose our babies. Its been and still is so very hard. We have been blessed to see butterflies everyday since his service. We have made him a garden. Gage's Garden. The catapillars are getting so big. We have sponsored a boy in need and are starting a nonprofit with proceeds to the Trisomy 18 foundation and Ronald McDonald house. He is a blessing that we will carry with us always. He will always be a special part of our world.
